Teaching
Davina Banner is a passionate educator whose work spans both the undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of Northern British Columbia and focuses on research methods, qualitative research methodologies, and professional practice. Davina supervises masters and doctoral students from a range of health disciplines, including nursing, health sciences and psychology. As an educator and practitioner, Davina’s teaching is greatly informed by practice and reflects a commitment to active, engaged, flexible, innovative and reflective teaching approaches. Throughout her teaching career to date, Davina has contributed to clinical teaching, curriculum development, mentorship, program accreditation, and educational scholarship. Known for her engaged and fun teaching style, Davina seeks to inspire and support others to become activated practitioners and to strive for change for the benefit of our patients and communities.
